What a month (so far)

Wow! Here it is, Valentine's Day, and we haven't been in school since February 5th. Hopefully everyone has done at least a little bit of reading. As of today, I've read 7 books (2,008 pages). Hoping to read at least one more before life returns to normal and we return to school on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the Guys Read Club meeting last week was postponed due to snow. The new meeting date will be Thursday, Feb. 25th at 2:45.

Happy Presidents' Day tomorrow!

  1. I think it's wonderful that you have well-attended book clubs at your middle school, and I'm psyched to hear that readergirlz inspired one of them! Will your readers be checking out our featured titles as well? I'd love to see them getting involved at our website + blog! This month, we're discussing Copper Sun by Sharon Draper. Next month, we're chatting about Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. Join us! http://www.readergirlz.com http://readergirlz.blogspot.com :)

  2. Thanks so much for checking out the blog. We have almost all of the readergirlz titles in our media center. Last year we read How to be Popular by Meg Cabot and Hattie Big Sky by Kirby Larsen. One of the favorite aspects of those meetings was the music the authors chose for the books. The girls also loved the "Things to Know About" and "Author Chat". The March title is a secret until next week, but it is from your recent archives. :)
